Often times, watching webcasts of surf comps can get stale real quick especially when there's a lul and the announcers are struggling to find something interesting or entertaining to say.  During the Volcom Fiji Pro, all the announcers did a great job at maintaining interest but it was Dave Wassel who shined like a fresh bowling ball in regards to classic entertainment!  The list of legendary quotes and hilarious anecdotes that Wasselhoff spit out could go on for days.  Aside from him saying: "I'm Dave Wassel, LETS GET TROPICAL!" and "Poseidon, Unleash the Cracken!", every other classic quote of the comp by Mr. Wassel has been packaged right here in this video for your enjoyment!  Enjoy!

Today's Myrtle Monday is dedicated to the woman, the myth, the legend that we all know and love as Paris Hilton aka The Best DJ That Ever Lived.  Recently (while licking Afrojack's glow stick) a light bulb went off in Paris' head telling her that becoming a DJ would be the perfect way to save her career.  Well, I don't really care enough to read all the details but it's pretty clear that her debut gig in Brazil was (for lack of a better word) whorrific!  Unknowingly mashing up two songs off beat, dancing like a manatee with down syndrome, and pretending to throw down some mean twisties were a few of the heiress' novice moves that the crowd easily picked up on.  So today, I SAH-lute you miss Hilton!  Your excellent skills and killer moves give hope to us all that may be one day (depending on how much I put out) I too will get to be an uber cewl DJay and play a festival in Brazil and have thousands of hungry fans get their faces melted by some killer electronic beats yo!  You're a gem, keep on truckin'...

Summer Tunes Ft. Tropicool, Goldroom, Bixel Boys, & Cooper Saver

Seeing as though Summer's official start is this Thursday, I thought it might be a good idea to ring it in with some croozy summery beats to get ya in the mood!  Amongst all the countless mixtapes out there, I've hand  picked a few of my latest favorites that will have you jammin' for hours, days, months, or till your pubes turn gray.

First off is the Troppo lord himself; Tropicool with his latest installment of his Gooch Tape Series.  Gooch Tape Numero 5 is chalk filled with buttery beats and exotic sensations that uplift the spirit and relax the mind!

Next up is sir Goldroom of Trop-a-Lot!  His latest Verano mix features a nice blend of Tropical Disco, NuDisco, and a dash of house to get yo booty shakin'!

Then we got the dance maestro himself; Bixel Boys who just pumped out a killer mix that features an epic intro sample (as usual), some booty bouncin' chunes, and extremely clean ass mixing!  Keep yer' eye out for Ian, he's been charging all da spots lately and turning heads while doin so! 

Last but not least is the mate Cooper Saver who's been pumping out great mixes like a dog in heat.  His latest June Mix features some smooth jams that'll have ya sippin on a frothy marg in no time!  It also features my most recent favorite track entitled "Lunar" by one half of the Classixx who's goin by da name of Fingerpaint, enjoy!
